How to install ZenMate 5 for Windows

ZenMate also comes as a dedicated software solution for Windows when you wish to obtain more out of the VPN experience. Both trial accounts or premium accounts can take advantage of the ZenMate solution for Windows, directly from your Account Dashboard. 

Keep in mind that in case of using ZenMate 5, you will need to use either ZenMate 5 or the Extension for your browser, but not both in the same time. For more information, see here: Can I use the desktop client and the browser extension at the same time?

System requirements:

• .NET 4.6 compatible PC | 1 GHz PC 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor | 2 Gigabyte RAM (depending on your running Windows operating system)
• 310 Megabyte free hard drive space (280 MB less, if Microsoft .NET 4.6 is already installed)
• All Operating Systems on 32 and 64 bits.

 

Step 1: Access your Account Dashboard and proceed with logging in with your account. Check here: https://account.zenmate.com/en_US/login

Step 2: Head to My Devices

Step 3: Choose Desktop. You will be presented with both solutions Windows or MacOS. In this tutorial, we are covering Windows. Choose Download App. 

Step 4: Proceed with the Installer. It should not be a process would take more than 5 minutes. ZenMate 5 will open for you after installing and will display the default message: VPN not connected!
To connect the VPN, press the big gray button in the middle of the window.
